Energy running costs comparison


 

Parameters of the formula below

A = Running costs per year in EURO
B = Average demand of kW/h (normally 70 to 80% of the heater capacity)
C = Costs of electricity inEURO/kW
D = Costs of fuel oil (Diesel) in EURO/kW (EURO/kg : 11)
E = Running hour per year

 

Formula

A Electricity = B x C x E = Running costs per year in EURO/TD
A Fuel oil (Diesel) = B x D x E = Running costs per year in EURO/TD

 

Example (fill in your own data)

B = Average demand rough (heater capacity of 300 kW) = approx. 200 kW/h
C = Costs of electricity = 0.10 EURO/kW
D = Costs of fuel oil (Diesel): 0.30 EURO/kg, 0.3 : 11 = 0.02 EURO/kW
E = 10 hours/day, 25 days/month, 12 months = 3'000 running hours/yearr

Comparison of running costs:

Economizing with larger heater capacities:

500 kW, average demand rough approx. 400 kW/h = 96'000.-- EURO
